How to apply
Make sure you’re eligible for an Award by following these steps:
Group Members
- Participate in THE FAMINE: 2008.
- Write all your donations in the summary table (page 15) in your Famine Book and fill in the total.
- Raise enough donations to get your chosen Award.
- Ensure all cash and cheque donations are given to your Group Leader AND all online credit card donations are received well before 30 September 2008 (preferably before the Famine Weekend).
- Complete the Award application form in your Famine Book and ask your Group Leader to sign it. If you’re applying to be a Youth Ambassador staple your answer the YA question to the completed Famine Book.
- Give your Famine Book to your Group Leader (with the application form still attached) when you’ve received and recorded all your donations, well before 30 September 2008.
Group Leaders must have banked all money and returned ALL books to World Vision by 30 September 2008 for the group to be eligible for an Award.
Individual Participants
- Participate in THE FAMINE: 2008.
- Raise enough donations to get your chosen Award.
- Ensure all online donations are banked before 30 September 2008.
- Download the application form from your secure My Famine account.
- Complete the Award application form and send it to World Vision by 30 September 2008. If you’re applying to be a Youth Ambassador, staple your answer to the YA question to the completed Award form.
