Do you have some spare time? Are you retired, or between jobs?

Volunteer assisting in World Vision's National Office in East Burwood.

World Vision has an ongoing need for volunteers in offices all over Australia. With our national office in Melbourne, and state offices in every capital city, there are many opportunities to contribute your valuable time toward reducing poverty.

Assignments vary across the organisation. Some require specialist skills, while others may simply need someone who has heaps of enthusiasm and is willing to do whatever is required. It may be a full-time assignment over some months, or it may be part time and short term.

Office administration skills can include data entry, sorting mail, filing and other office duties.

Opportunities for volunteering in the office:

Projects vary from short term to long term, and may be completed by an individual or a team of volunteers.

Featured volunteer

Noel Cooper

The Mailing Services Team at World Vision includes a loyal team of volunteers who sort and process mail, as well as a range of related tasks. The workload in the mailroom increases greatly during campaign time and the ‘extra hands on deck’ provided by volunteers are vital.

Noel Cooper starts his day at 6.30 a.m. in the mailroom, four days a week. He has logged more than 5000 hours since starting as volunteer in 1998. Noel is a widower, who is happy to work on whatever task is required, and he always has a cheery and helpful disposition. Noel has amazing dedication and is an inspiration to all!
