Sponsoring a child online is quick and easy. There are two options – you can choose a child yourself or you can let World Vision select a child for you.

When you choose a child online your first payment must be made by credit card.

Step 1
Select a child using the search for a child box on the child sponsorship homepage. Specify your preferred country, age and gender of the child. You can then select a child from the resulting list of children who match this criteria.

Alternatively, on the same child search page, you can randomly select a child by clicking on the 'choose a child for me' option or click 'longest waiting child' to see the child who has been waiting for the longest to be sponsored.

Step 2
After you have selected a child for sponsorship, use our secure forms to enter your credit card details and authorise regular payments from your card.

Step 3
World Vision will process your sponsorship request. You will receive a sponsorship kit within 14 working days (for major metropolitan areas). The sponsorship kit includes a picture folder with photo and details of your sponsored child and information about their country.

Step 4
You are now a child sponsor! Every year, you'll receive a progress report on your sponsored child, with an updated photo and information on their health, education and community progress.

You can also choose to receive a regular online newsletter or printed magazine updating you on World Vision's work around the world.

 

Let World Vision select a child for you

If you let World Vision choose a child for you online, you can make your payments by direct debit.

Step 1
Indicate your preferences for country, age and gender of the child. You can choose to sponsor another child at this stage.

Step 2
Complete the online process including your contact details.

Step 3
World Vision will process your sponsorship request. You will receive a sponsorship kit that includes a picture folder with photo and details of your sponsored child and information about their country. The kit also includes a direct debit authorisation form for you to complete and return to World Vision.

Step 4
Your now a child sponsor! Every year, you'll receive a progress report on your sponsored child, with an updated photo and information on their health, education and community progress.

You can also choose to receive a regular online newsletter or printed magazine updating you on World Vision's work around the world.

Note: You cannot use the online child search page to select a child and pay by direct debit. Initial payment must be made by credit card. You can always change your payment method to direct debit after the first credit card payment. Simply download the direct debit authority and return to World Vision or contact us for more information.
